This Way Cheap Internet Service Can Be Made

There have been repeated allegations that the Internet has not been devalued over service providers. What we need to consider here is that the design of the website five years ago and the current video and audio content app are all about increasing the use of the Internet.

First we took a thousand rupees of one Mbps and today we are providing speed up to 120 Mbps in the annual package. In addition, we are providing TV with an exaggerated amount. As far as the average monthly fee of Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1200 is concerned, the internet fee has not been reduced and the Mbps has been increased in the same amount,Is, I also agree with that.

The use of video content has increased by a thousand times in five years. The first was to run only emails and websites on the Internet. But now there is teaching from online. Video and OTT apps have arrived. When the Internet is delivered to the customer's home, there are usually five people using it.

Even if it doesn't work well, we have to abuse it. So we make packages by looking at the basics of what kind of content is increasing while we are making packages, how much bandwidth it consumes, etc. How many Mbps packages we don't have to abuse, we start making the same kind of package.

As far as telecommunications services are concerned in South Asia. It is not right to call Nepal's internet expensive in South Asia. That is a matter of mobile data. Even the ITU report shows that Nepal's Internet is the cheapest in the world.

Many people in our country are obsessed with poverty. This is creating a new kind of digital divide. We have a lot of work to do to bridge the gap between the Internet and access to digital technology. Just as there is a state of dual rights in mobile services in Nepal, so is the number of people coming to Nepal on the Internet. That has cost Nepal a lot of internet. We need to break that. We are now obliged to bring international bandwidth from a limited provider.

In India, there are services in China. If the current duopoli is to be broken, they also need to be encouraged to come to Nepal and do business. International bandwidth coming to Nepal may be cheaper if competition is maintained. Nepal does not have direct access to the maritime internet network. The ITU has raised the issue of land-dominated countries having access to nearby seas. Therefore, the Government of Nepal needs to talk to India and move towards building its own maritime access. Another thing is that buying internet from India and taking it to the customer's house is a very high tax payment. We have a very expensive tax structure in the world. With all these adversities, we are being able to provide cheap internet to the world.

As far as undeclared carteling is concerned on the internet, I have an objection to that. In Nepal, only names seem to be serviceable. But here 12 are service providers and don't forget that there is competition between them. We are competing between 1 / 20 service providers everywhere in the country. If the big service provider cartels, it is not possible to compete with other service providers. Now the growth rate of new internet connections is higher outside Kathmandu. If we had been carted by a limited number of large service providers, it would not have been possible to create a market in such places. So this is a baseless issue. Yesterday we sold 2 Kbps speed internet as broadband internet for a thousand rupees. At that time, it used to cost 0 per Mbps of international bandwidth. But now there is no email in 2 KBPS. Can't see Facebook.

But today we are talking about real broadband. ITU has set the standard for broadband to have a minimum of five Mbps speed bandwidth. Accordingly, we are providing an internet package of 20 Mbps speed at full price. So how can it not be said to be cheap.

The inflation rate is also steadily rising. From equipment to bandwidth, all have to be imported from outside. Dollar's brother has risen from Rs 0 to Rs 120. The price of internet is cheaper or more expensive than before, all these bases have to be looked at Yes, the Internet has not yet become available at a price that people in Humla-Jumla and rural areas can afford to buy. We have not been able to focus on infrastructure sharing now. Optical fiber has reached almost all municipalities. Nepal Telecom is also building its own infrastructure in the areas where ISP is providing internet. If the infrastructure is to be used in this way, the value of internet can be made cheaper. We have been raising our voices for infrastructure use for the last 1 /1 years. But, That is not applicable .

At present, it costs at least Rs 22,000 to get a point of optical fiber in a house. This is just a matter of initial investment. Then we charge the customer on a monthly basis, In that, we also have to take the profit of the initial investment. When we take Rs. 1000 from the customer, we have to pay Rs. International bandwidth costs 0 rupees for internet to provide to a customer. Our administrative and operating expenses are over Rs. If all this is connected, we do not have the same profit as said. Nepal Telecom, 2  percent like Ansel, We have not taken 0 percent profit. We are running percent profit It's been a month since I became president of ISPAN. People are expecting us. What I have seen is that we need to emphasize the accessibility of the Internet, its sustainability and its accessible availability. In terms of access, there is a need to take the internet to the village, not just in the city. Let the people living in the village ward get internet whenever they want. For that, the line of Nepal Electricity Authority has been a gift for us. But now it has been made very expensive. If seven service providers are using the line of authority, then all the costs are charged in one year.

Now let's talk about sustainability. There is no minimum standard for digging through the underground. Because of that, underground optical fiber has been cut due to digging where it can be found. Now Nepal Telecom, Ncell and Internet service providers have separate infrastructure. If there is one or two infrastructures, four or five types of infrastructure have been prepared. For example, Subisu has provided optical fiber from one side to the internet in Rasuwa, while Nepal Telecom has taken it from the other direction. So let Nepal Telecom use it where Subisu's infrastructure is Subisu should also be able to run on the side of Nepal Telecom. If this happens, the problem on the one hand becomes a situation where the service can be provided on the other side and the internet service continues to run smoothly. It is also a matter of allotment. It is not just a matter of running cheap Today, we are paying Rs. 0 per day on public transport in Kathmandu. We are getting to run the internet for Rs. 1000 for a month in such a place. But we are also abusing the service provider for being expensive.

The infrastructure is to be shared, Limit the scope of the tax, The internet can be given cheaper if it can reduce the cost of bandwidth coming from India. We also have the aspiration to make the internet cheaper at least 100 Mbps across Nepal. Even though it can run the internet now, the devices that use it are very expensive. Many people have the ability to run the internet for Rs. But 0,They don't have the power to buy laptops for 1,000. We also need to focus on how to reduce and make it serviced. If this happens, the use of the internet will also increase and it will help make the price cheaper.
